Welcome aboard Door County Sailing!
“Sometimes God calms the storm. At other times, He calms the sailor… and sometimes He makes us swim.”
As if I don’t already have enough to do – and that’s just the idea here! Write about sailing in Door County so I have to spend more time out there on the waters of Green Bay and Lake Michigan… reporting. I have been an avid Door County sailor for more than 40 years so it’s payback time:
- time to thank Poseidon (Neptune) for being so kind as to watch out for me, despite the situations I get myself into;
- time to work a bit harder to protect this valuable fresh water resource that is threatened in so many ways;
- time to share my enthusiasm for the sport of sailing with others who may be just starting out;
- time to set up a place for other sailors to share their stories
- and I am sure I will add so much more to this list…
So, welcome aboard.
